Mercy Air Service is a air medical transport team that has provided critical care air transport service throughout California and Nevada for over 35 years. With helicopter and fixed wing airplane air ambulance services, Mercy Air is part of the largest air ambulance network in California.

Mercy Air is the only Air Ambulance provider in Southern California to carry blood products on every patient transport. Recent studies have shown patients who suffered significant trauma stand a better chance of survival after receiving blood immediately.

rady children’s hospital san diego - emergency transport team (CHET)

The Children’s Hospital Emergency Transport (CHET) Team at Rady Children’s Hospital-San Diego provides 24-hour emergency critical care transport to more than 2,000 neonatal and pediatric patients a year throughout Southern California. We provide immediate response to requests for transport or consultation by hospitals, clinics and physician offices in San Diego, Imperial and Riverside counties.

There are two transport teams: the Pediatric Transport team and the Neonatal Transport team.  Each team is equipped with self-contained medical equipment to provide expert critical care to our patients. The extensive training and experience help to ensure the health and well-being of the children in our community.
